The 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) is the European Union’s main instrument for funding research, technological development and demonstration projects in Europe.
It ran from 2007 until 2013 with an overall budget of over € 50 billion, in order to co-finance research, technological development and demonstration projects.
The Framework Programmes for Research have two main strategic objectives:
- to strengthen the scientific and technological base of European industry;
